The karyotype analysis of Korean wild mouse was performed by chromosome banding technique and the results obtained were summarized as follows.
1. The number of chromosome was appeared as 2n=40 and all shown acrocentrics
2. In G-banding analysis, the difference of male and female was not shown.
In C-banding analysis, No. 3, 8. 11, 15, 16, Y-chromosome of male were negatively stained and No. 3, 7. 11, 12, 15, 16, 17 chromosome of female were negative without showing C-band, too.
3. The existence of Y-chromosome could be easily detected by Q-banding
4. N-band positive staining was shown on centromeric region of all chromosome.
5. The terminals of all but No. 3, 7, 14 chromosome appeared T-band and R-band was shown as completely compensative pattern against G-band.
